The Flag Officers (FO) are elected from the General Committee members for a term of two years. The FO are guardians of the Club’s ethos, responsible for policy making and strategy. They represent the Club in public affairs and chair the Club’s sub-committees.
The General Committee is the Board of Directors of the Club, chaired by the Commodore. It comprises 6 Flag Officers and 11 other members who are elected at the Annual General Meeting for terms of two years. This committee ensures the efficient management of the Club’s general affairs under the Memorandum and Articles of Association. Each member of the General Committee is expected to undertake various tasks and accept appointments to sub-committees.
The Sailing and Marine Committee is chaired by the Rear Commodore (Sailing). This committee manages races, training courses, liaison for external events, boat and ferry monitoring, and facility maintenance.
The House and Building Committee is chaired by the Rear Commodore (House). It manages the Club’s non-marine facilities and services, including building maintenance and up-keep, housekeeping, and overseeing the Club’s F&B and social events.
The ABC Development Committee is chaired by an elected member of the committee and is responsible for improving sustainability within the Club’s facilities.
The ABC Staff Committee takes care of any business and issues related to staffing and human resources.
